Ecole FTJ - Un début mouvementé / PCYM School - A chaotic start

Que de choses se passent ces derniers jours qui continuent de nous exercer à la souplesse et à l'adaptabilité... La dernière en date: Joële a été diagnostiquée il y a 2 jours au COVID-19. Nous sommes donc (famille Zeller) en quarantaine pour 10 jours (7 si nous n'avons pas de symptômes pour les membres de la famille, mais au moins 10 pour Joële qui est à l'isolement dans une chambre...). Notre équipe de staff a commencé à arriver aujourd'hui pour la préparation, mais une famille vient de la région parisienne, zone classé à risque; ils doivent être en quarantaine pendant 10 jours eux aussi (ils la feront chez les parents de de la maman qui vivent en Suisse et suivront le début de l'école par zoom...)

Sinon, Yonan d'Israël, notre seul étudiant anglophone, ne peut pas venir. Impossible d'avoir une autorisation, Israël étant classé pays à risque, mais un autre staff nous rejoint comme staff-étudiant. Lui est coincé en Égypte avec des symptômes, il se fait tester demain matin.

Une autre famille d'étudiants, qui vient aussi de Paris, doit elle  aussi commencer par une quarantaine de 10 jours chez les parents de l'épouse en Suisse, ils nous rejoindront ensuite et suivront également le début de l'école par zoom.

Les Marsh sont également en isolement 10 jours, Noémie a aussi été testée positive.

À part ça, tout va bien ;-) Ce sont donc principalement Annie et Geneviève qui vont accueillir les étudiants lundi après-midi et lancer l'école. Roland Maeder va nous aider pour les repas. Et nous connectons par zoom pour les jours d'orientation.

Merci pour vos prières, ce ne sont pas les conditions idéales pour commencer une école, mais nous sommes confiants que les bénédictions seront à la hauteur des combats!

So many things are happening these days that keep on training us to be flexible and adaptable... The latest: Joële was diagnosed 2 days ago with COVID-19. We are therefore (Zeller family) in quarantine for 10 days (7 if we have no symptoms for the family members, but at least 10 for Joële who is in isolation in a room...). Our staff team started to arrive today for the preparation, but a family comes from the Paris region, a zone classified at risk; they have to be in quarantine for 10 days too (they will do it at the parents of the mom who live in Switzerland and will follow the beginning of the school by zoom...)

Otherwise, Yonan from Israel, our only English-speaking student, cannot come. Impossible to get an authorization, Israel being classified as a risky country, but anothe staff joins us as a staff-student. He is stuck in Egypt with symptoms and will be tested tomorrow morning. 

Another family of students, also from Paris, must also start with a 10-day quarantine at the wife's parents' home in Switzerland, they will then join us and will also follow the beginning of the PCYM by zoom.
The Marsh are also in isolation for 10 days, Noémie has also been tested positive.
Apart from that, everything is fine ;-) So it is mainly Annie and Geneviève who will welcome the students on Monday afternoon and launch the school. Roland Maeder will help us with the meals. And we are connecting by zoom for the orientation days.
Thank you for your prayers, these are not ideal conditions to start a school, but we are confident that the blessings will be equal to the struggles!
