Joële au Kenya (2) / Joële in Kenya (2)

Joële a passé un week-end "hors du temps". Elle a  voyagé 19 heures en bus, 15 minutes en moto et 5 minutes à pied pour partager un peu plus de 24h avec un papa et un maman qui ont touché son coeur et à qui elle voulait dire que Dieu ne les avait pas oubliés, qu'ils étaient aimés et rachetés et dignes. Un temps qu'elle ne va pas oublier. Retour à Mombasa pour une semaine bien pleine.

Joële spent a weekend “out of time.” She traveled 19 hours by bus, 15 minutes by motorcycle, and 5 minutes on foot to spend just over 24 hours with a father and mother who touched her heart—people she wanted to tell that God hadn’t forgotten them, that they were loved, redeemed, and worthy. A time she will never forget. Back to Mombasa for a very busy week. 

Joële au Kenya (1) / Joële in Kenya (1)

Joële est arrivée au Kenya pour 3 semaines. Elle va visiter d'anciens étudiants de notre FTJ et les servir dans certains projets et formations, puis participer à la rencontre des responsables FJ d'Afrique de l'Est, puis à celle des anciens de JEM pour l'Afrique.

Joële has arrived in Kenya for three weeks. She will visit former students of our PCYFM program and assist them with various projects and training sessions, then attend the meeting of KKI leaders from East Africa, followed by the eldership meeting of YWAM Africa.

Guy prêche à Clarens / Guy preaches in Clarens

Guy a prêché ce matin au culte de la chapelle de Clarens, près de Montreux, sur la foi dans les épreuves. Nous avons profité d'aller marcher au bord du lac avec Joële ensuite, à quelques jours de son départ pour 3 semaines au Kenya.

Guy preached this morning at the service at the Clarens Chapel, near Montreux, on the topic of faith in the face of trials. Afterward, we took the opportunity to go for a walk along the lake with Joële, just a few days before she leaves for a three-week trip to Kenya. 

Anniversaire de Joële / Joële's birthday

Nous avons fêté aujourd'hui les 53 ans de Joële, en toute simplicité. Une balade l'après-midi avec des amis, suivi d'un goûter/partage. Un magnifique moment intergénérationnel avec la famille et des amis, simple, mais profond. Nous sommes reconnaissants qu'elle soit encore avec nous!

Today we celebrated Joële’s 53rd birthday in a low-key way. We went for a walk in the afternoon with friends, followed by a snack and some time together. It was a wonderful intergenerational moment with family and friends—simple, yet meaningful. We're grateful she's still with us!

Guy enseigne à JEM Lausanne / Guy teaches at YWAM Lausanne

Guy enseigne cette semaine à JEM Lausanne dans l'école de disciples anglais-coréen (sur les 29 étudiants, 22 sont Coréens, Guy a toujours un super contact avec eux) sur la nature et le caractère de Dieu. Les étudiants sont super ouverts et touchés, et il y a pas mal d'entretiens les après-midis. Joële et Noam sont avec lui, et ils profitent aussi de faire quelques sorties ensemble.

Guy is teaching this week at YWAM Lausanne in the English-Korean discipleship school (out of the 29 students, 22 are Korean; Guy always gets along great with them) on the nature and character of God. The students are very open and moved, and there are quite a few one-on-one conversations in the afternoons. Joële and Noam are with him, and they’re also enjoying going out together.

Joële termine ces jours de marche sur la Via Francigena avec Anouk. Elle a beaucoup apprécié ce temps bienfaisant de découvertes, rencontres, partages et de marche. C'est n'est sûrement pas la dernière fois qu'elle accompagne son amie !

Joële is wrapping up her days of walking along the Via Francigena with Anouk. She really enjoyed this wonderful time of discovery, meeting people, sharing experiences, and walking. This certainly won’t be the last time she joins her friend!

Joële et Anouk continuent à cheminer sur la Via Francigena. Elles ont beaucoup de plaisir, bien de soleil,  de belles rencontres et de longues lignes droites !

Joële and Anouk are continuing their journey along the Via Francigena. They’re having a great time, enjoying plenty of sunshine, wonderful encounters, and long stretches of open road!

Joële en Italie pour 5 jours de marche avec son amie Anouk / Joële in Italy for a 5-day hike with her friend Anouk

Joële est en Italie pour 5 jours de marche avec son amie Anouk sur la via Francigena. Aujourd'hui, début en douceur: 13,5 km au programme. Une bonne occasion de se vider la tête et de ralentir. Elle rentrera dimanche soir.

Joële is in Italy for a five-day hike with her friend Anouk on the via Francigena. Today, smooth start: they had a 13.5-kilometer hike on the agenda. It’s a great chance to clear her head and slow down. She’ll be back on Sunday evening.

Service Pâques à Yverdon / Easter Service Camp in Yverdon

Vendredi et samedi a eu lieu le traditionnel Service Pâques des FJ à Yverdon avec une centaine de participants. Aujourd'hui, c'était la fête des générations vers le kiosque à musique avec différentes animations et 350 repas distribués à la population. Bravo à toute l'équipe, et merci à Salomé pour les belles photos!

On Friday and Saturday, the KKI's traditional Easter service camp took place in Yverdon, attended by one hundred participants. Today, there was a “Generations Festival” near the bandstand, featuring various activities and 350 meals served to the public. Well done to the whole team, and thanks to Salomé for the nice photos!
