Guy poursuit sa tournée en Belgique. Mercredi, il était à Liège, il a pu visiter le centre ville ainsi qu'un lieu très symbolique à une 30aine de kilomètres, la chapelle transparente. Le soir il est intervenu dans une église sur le thème: Relever les défis que Dieu place dans nos vies. Jeudi, après un entretien avec une intercesseuse de la région, il est reparti pour la région de Charleroi, plus précisément à Marcinelle, avec une excellente soirée sur le thème de Cultiver et garder son jardin. Il dort chez le pasteur ce soir et a eu d'excellents échanges avec le responsable de l'alliance évangélique belge pour répandre ces enseignements sur les enfants, les jeunes et les familles dans toutes les régions et dénominations de Wallonie. Prometteur pour la suite! Il y a vraiment une saison nouvelle en Belgique.

Guy is continuing his tour of Belgium. On Wednesday, he was in Liège, where he visited the city center as well as a very symbolic site about 30 kilometers away: the Transparent Chapel. That evening, he spoke at a church on the topic: “Overcoming the Challenges God Places in Our Lives.” On Thursday, after a meeting with a local intercessor, he headed to the Charleroi area—specifically to Marcinelle—where he led an excellent evening on the topic “Cultivating and Caring for Your Garden.” He is staying with the pastor tonight and had excellent discussions with the leader of the Belgian Evangelical Alliance about spreading these teachings on children, youth, and families throughout all regions and denominations in Wallonia. This bodes well for the future! There is indeed a new season in Belgium.

Lundi matin, Guy a visité le centre-ville de Lille, magnifique, puis s'est rendu chez nos amis les Paton chez qui il a dormi. Le soir, nous avons participé à un comité de préparation de la conférence famille que nous ferons en octobre à Courtrai. Puis mardi matin, retour sur Namur. Le soir, Guy a parlé lors d'une rencontre pour l'alliance évangélique avec une 80aine de participants de toute la Wallonie, ce qui est super encourageant pour ici. Des pasteurs, des moniteurs de l'enfance, des responsables jeunesse, des responsables d'oeuvres... C'était riche, on sent le début de quelque chose! Ce soir, il dort près de Charleroi et demain journée et soirée dans une église à Liège.

On Monday morning, Guy visited the beautiful downtown area of Lille, then went to stay with our friends, the Patons. That evening, we attended a planning meeting for the family conference we’ll be holding in October in Kortrijk. Then on Tuesday morning, we headed back to Namur. That evening, Guy spoke at a meeting for the Evangelical Alliance with about 80 participants from all over Wallonia, which is really encouraging for our area. Pastors, children’s ministry leaders, youth leaders, ministry directors… It was a rich experience; you can feel something new beginning! Tonight, he’s staying near Charleroi, and tomorrow he’ll spend the day and evening at a church in Liège.

Guy parle à Wichtrach / Guy teaches at Wichtrach

Guy s'est adressé ce matin aux pasteurs et moniteurs de la fédération des églises charismatiques libres de Suisse sur le travail parmi les enfants dans l'église. Il était traduit en allemand. Il y était juste pour la matinée, mais a eu beaucoup de plaisir et de retours positifs. Il a juste pris ce matin, car l'engagement était pris depuis longtemps, pendant nos vacances en famille en Emmental, pas loin.

This morning, Guy spoke to the pastors and leaders of the Federation of Free Charismatic Churches in Switzerland about children’s ministry in the church. He was translated into German. He was only there for the morning, but he really enjoyed it and received a lot of positive feedback. He took the time this morning because he had committed to it a long time ago, during our family vacation in the Emmental, not far from here. 

Week-end à Tavannes et culte à Siviriez / Week-end in Tavannes and worship service in Siviriez

Nous avons vécu un week-end bien rempli, Joële et Guy accompagnés de notre petit-fils Oliver, tout d'abord à Tavannes avec deux enseignements le vendredi soir sur les défis de cette génération et la famille, une formation pour ls moniteurs le samedi matin avec une trentaine de participants sur le thème : "Comment faire des enfants des disciples de Jésus", suivi l'après-midi d'un bon partage avec nos amis Angela et Fabien, responsables de l'enfance au CET (ils nous ont d'ailleurs accueillis chez eux pour le logement et les repas) et Guy prêché au groupe de jeunes le soir sur la seigneurie de Jésus. Le dimanche, culte au CET le dimanche matin avec une prédication de Joële intitulée "Régner dans les circonstances", avec un témoignage de son accident en Tanzanie et de ce que cela lui a enseigné. Elle sera prochainement disponible sur Youtube. L'après-midi, nous nous sommes rendus à Siviriez pour une prédication de Guy sur le thème comment découvrir et entrer dans l'appel de Dieu sur notre vie à l'église Alliance Pierre Vivante, avec là aussi beaucoup de super contacts! Un week-end fructueux que nous avons tous beaucoup apprécié, y com pris Oliver qui s'est fait des copains.

We had a busy weekend, Joële and Guy accompanied by our grandson Oliver, first in Tavannes with two teachings on Friday evening on the challenges of this generation and the family, then a training session for instructors on Saturday morning with about thirty participants on the theme: “How to make children disciples of Jesus,” followed in the afternoon by a good time of fellowship with our friends Angela and Fabien, who are in charge of children's ministry at CET (they also welcomed us into their home for lodging and meals), and Guy preached to the youth group in the evening on the lordship of Jesus. On Sunday morning, there was a service at CET with a sermon by Joële entitled “Reigning in Circumstances,” with a testimony about her accident in Tanzania and what it taught her. It will soon be available on YouTube. In the afternoon, we went to Siviriez for a sermon by Guy on the theme of how to discover and enter into God's calling on our lives at the Alliance Pierre Vivante church, where we also made many great contacts! It was a fruitful weekend that we all enjoyed very much, including Oliver, who made some friends.

Journée tous publics à l'occasion des 100 ans de la LLB en Suisse romande. Baptiste a co-présidé la célébration officielle avec brio. Une fois de plus, c'était l'occasion de revoir plein de monde! Tous nos voeux à la Ligue pour les 100 prochaines années!

Guy enseigne à Cortaillod / Guy teaches in Cortaillod

Ce matin, Guy a donné une formation à Cortaillod pour les moniteurs/trices de l'Eglise pour Christ de Suisse romande. Il a parlé sur les thèmes du Potentiel spirituel des enfants et de Comment former les enfants comme disciples. Les gens étaient très ouverts et réceptifs.

This morning, Guy gave a training session in Cortaillod for Church for Christ monitors from the French-speaking part of Switzerland. He spoke on the themes of Children's Spiritual Potential and How to Disciple Children. People were very open and receptive.

Ce matin, Guy a animé une rencontre pour les enfants de l'église de la Fraternelle à Nyon, puis a poursuivi par un repas et un partage pour encourager les moniteurs de cette église. Un moment super!

This morning, Guy led a meeting for the children of the Fraternelle church in Nyon, followed by a meal and sharing to encourage the monitors of this church. What a great time!

Ce matin, Guy enseigne une 50aine de moniteurs/monitrices de francophonie par zoom sur le thème: "Susciter l'intérêt de la Parole de Dieu chez l'enfant". Une super équipe très motivée!

This morning, Guy is teaching some 50 French-speaking monitors by zoom on the theme: “Stimulating children's interest in the Word of God”. A super, highly motivated group!

Séminaire près de Namur / Seminar close to Namur

Guy a donné un séminaire aujourd'hui près de Namur, à Champion, avec une quarantaine de participants, et les retours sont très positifs. Le thème était l'intégration des enfants dans l'église, le rôle de la famille, comment aider les enfants à rencontrer Jésus, et conduire les enfants dans la prière et la louange. Hier soir, à Couillet près de Charleroi, c'était une soirée avec des responsables de jeunesse, puis un témoignage dans un groupe d'ados. Demain matin, culte puis 7h de route pour rentrer en Suisse.

Guy gave a seminar today near Namur, in Champion, with around forty participants, and the feedback was very positive. The theme was integrating children into the church, the role of the family, how to help children meet Jesus, and leading children in prayer and praise. Last night, in Couillet near Charleroi, there was an evening with youth leaders, followed by a testimony in a teenage group. Tomorrow morning, worship followed by a 7-hour drive back to Switzerland.

Ce week-end, Guy donne un séminaire en Belgique. Tout d'abord, un repas avec des responsables jeunesse en un témoignage dans un groupe de jeunes près de Charleroi, puis un séminaire à Champion, près de Namur, pour encourager des moniteurs et monitrices d'écoles du dimanche le samedi, puis un culte dans l'église qui accueille le séminaire le dimanche matin.

This weekend, Guy is giving a seminar in Belgium. First, a meal with youth leaders and a testimony at a youth group near Charleroi, then a seminar in Champion, near Namur, to encourage Sunday school teachers on Saturday, followed by a service in the seminar's host church on Sunday morning.

Joële enseigne des moniteurs en France / Joële teaches children workers in France

Joële a enseigné hier matin les moniteurs de eme (anciennement mono-connexion), un réseau de moniteurs de l'enfance de toute la France. Une 70aine de participants étaient présents par zoom, et elle a abordé comment prier pour les enfants.

Joële taught yesterday morning  the children's workers of eme (formerly mono-connexion), a network of children's workers from all over France. Around 70 participants attended by zoom, and she covered how to pray for children.

Guy spent the day in Nyon to train the children workers of the ICF Church from Geneva. A great time with a great team!

Week-end à Tavannes / Weekend in Tavannes

Super week-end à l'église du CET à Tavannes, où Guy a prêché deux fois vendredi soir au cours Tilt! (cours de préparation à l'adolescence que nous avons créé il y a 26 ans). Samedi, nous avons pris un temps avec Fabien et Angela, les responsables de l'enfance de l'église et enseigné au groupe de jeunes le soir, et dimanche matin nous animons un culte pour les enfants.

Great weekend at the CET church in Tavannes, where Guy preached twice on Friday night to the Tilt! class (a teen preparation training course we started 26 years ago). On Saturday, we took time with Fabien and Angela, the church's children's leaders, and taught the youth group in the evening, and on Sunday morning we lead a children's service.
