Que faisons-nous en Côte d'Ivoire? / What are we doing in Ivory Coast?

Arrivés depuis deux semaines en Côte d'Ivoire, comment occupons-nous nos journées? L'école recommence lundi pour Noam et mardi pour Maé et Christopher. D'ici là, ils se découvrent des passions qui les occupent bien. Christopher développe des jeux vidéos, il va d'ailleurs être formé par Timothée Gerber au cours de cette année. Maé s'est créé un petit atelier de peinture et elle cuisine, et Noam s'est découvert une passion pour la lecture. De plus, Christopher et Maé ont commencé des cours de piano avec Guy.
A côté de cela, nous découvrons tout: où se trouvent les marchés, comparer les prix pour marchander - eh, nous avons des avocats à 20 cts/pièce, des fruits de la passion à 15 cts pour trois, des ananas à 45 cts/pièce et des noix de coco à 35 cts/pièce! Le plus gros casse-tête est la finalisation de l'inscription des enfants dans leur école et l'achat des fournitures scolaires (l'école ne pourvoit à rien du tout - on n'a d'ailleurs pas tout, car certains produits sont en rupture de stock...). A partir de lundi, nous allons entrer dans une forme de routine avec le début de l'école. Les enfants mangeront à midi à la cantine, donc nous ne les reverront pas jusqu'en fin d'après-midi, et nous avons pris les transports scolaires, car circuler peut-être un véritable cauchemar qui peut prendre des heures...
Nous sommes allés au cinéma voir Cars 3 (intéressant, sur le transfert générationnel!), et nous apprenons petit à petit à nous repérer dans cette mégapole de 4,7 millions d'habitants.

In Ivory Coast for two weeks now, how do we make ourselves busy? School will start on Monday for Noam and on Tuesday for Maé and Christopher. Meantime, they discover passions that make them quite busy. Christopher learns to develop video games, he will even be trained by Timothée Gerber during this year through Skype calls. Maé made herself a little painting workshop and she cooks, Noam discovers a passion for reading. Furthermore, Christopher and Maé are taking piano lessons with Guy.
Next to this, we are discovering everything: where the markets are, how to bargain and compare prices - uh, we have advocadoes for 20 cts/piece, passion fruits for 15 cts/three, pineapples for 45 cts/piece and coconuts for 35 cts/piece! The biggest headache was to finalize school registration for our kids and buying material for their classes (school doesn't provide for anything - we still haven't been able to find everything, some items are out of stock!). From Mondy on, we will enter in a kind of routine with the start of school. The kids will eat lunch at school, so we won't see them before the end of the afternoon, and we also booked school transportations, as driving can be a real nightmare that could take hours.
We went to the movie theater to watch Cars 3 (interesting about generational transfer), and we learn little by little to find our way int this megacity of 4.7 million  people.
