Nouvelle-Zélande (4) - Piha / New Zealand (4) - Piha

Belle journée sur la côte ouest à 30mn d'Auckland, pour voir la plage de Piha et se baigner - bon l'eau était froide et les vagues impressionnantes! Joële et Maé ont escaladé le gros rocher au milieu de la plage. Nous sommes ensuite allés visiter une chute d'eau un peu plus loin, Karekare Falls. Impressionnant de voir la végétation, mélange de tropical et de "comme chez nous"! Nous avons fini la soirée en dégustant de l'agneau rôti chez nos amis Kevin et Christ Stitt des King's Kids Nouvelle-Zélande. Et nous avions commencé par un accueil officiel maori dans le pays en début de matinée - un temps touchant où on nous a officiellement "fait de la place"!

Beautiful day on the west coast, 30mn from Auckland, to visit Piha beach and swim - well, the water was pretty cold and the waves impressive! Joële and Maé climbed on the big rock in the middle of the beach. We went after that admire a waterfall a bit further, Karekare Falls. Amazing to observ the vegetation, that is a mix between tropical and "like at home"! We finished the day with a wonderful dinner with roasted lamb at our friends Kevin and Christ Stitt from KKI New Zealand. And we started the day with an official maori welcome in the nation - a very moving time where we were officially "validated" to bless the nation.
