Guy est rentré de Kona / Guy back from Kona

Après une semaine de travail intensif, Guy est rentré de Kona et récupère du décalage horaire (12h, le maximum!) et retrouve la famille. Un beau cadeau: il a pu revoir Loren Cunningham, probablement pour la dernière fois. Il n'arrive plus à marcher, ayant des douleurs aux os dues à son cancer depuis quelques jours. Il nous a reçus dans sa chambre à coucher. C'est déjà un miracle qu'il ait encore été là, car en automne dernier les médecins ne lui donnaient plus que quelques semaines à vivre. Il n'a pas perdu de son humour et ses yeux pétillent toujours autant! Sinon, en Suisse, tout le monde a passé un super été. La rentrée scolaire, c'est lundi prochain pour Noam avec sa dernière année scolaire, Maé en 2ème année d'apprentissage de coiffeuse, Christopher en 1ère année d'école d'ASSC à Morges. Baptiste commencera sa 3ème année d'Université à Fribourg en septembre, il fait pour le moment un mois de service civil après un été bien rempli. Noémie, Loïc et les enfants sont allés en Albanie pour des vacances et préparer la conférence FJ Europe de cet automne.

After a week of intensive work, Guy is back from Kona, recovering from jet lag (12 hours, the maximum!) and reunited with his family. A great gift: he was able to see Loren Cunningham again, probably for the last time. He can no longer walk, having had bone pain from his cancer for several days. He received us in his bedroom. It's a miracle he's still here, because last autumn the doctors gave him only a few weeks to live. He hasn't lost his sense of humor, and his eyes still sparkle as brightly as ever! Otherwise, everyone in Switzerland had a great summer. The new school year starts next Monday for Noam in his last year of school, Maé in her 2nd year of an apprenticeship as a hairdresser, and Christopher in his 1st year of a school for ASSC in Morges. Baptiste will start his 3rd year of university in Fribourg in September, and is currently doing a month's civil service after a busy summer. Noémie, Loïc and the children went to Albania for a vacation and to prepare for this autumn's FJ Europe conference.
