Parcs nationaux US (7) - Petrified Forest / US National Parks (7) - Petrified Forrest

Nous avons visité aujourd'hui le parc de Petrified Forest en Arizona. On n'avait pas trop d'attentes, mais en fait on a été agréablement surpris en voyant des milliers des troncs d'arbres qui se sont transformés en pierre avec le temps, pris sous les alluvions et privés d'oxygène. L'érosion les a ensuite fait ressortir de terre, et cela donne un paysage étonnant. Toute la famille a raffolé!

We visited today Petrified Forest National Park in Arizona. We didn't expect too much, but we actually were nicely surprised, watching thousands of petrified tree logs, transformed in stone through thousands of years, blocked under alluvial sand and deprived of oxygen. The erosion made them come back to light, and that brings today an amazing landscape. The whole family enjoyed it!
