Arrivée en Australie, Sydney / Arrival in Australia, Sydney

Nous sommes arrivés hier à Sydney en Australie, pour un jour et demie de visite... ça a mal commencé. Quand on est arrivés dans l'hôtel que nous avions réservés il y a 6 mois, ils nous annoncent qu'ils ne peuvent pas nous accueillir, car nous sommes une famille et que les lois locales ne permettent pas d'accueillir des moins de 18 ans dans un hôtel pour "backpackers"... Ils nous ont aidés à trouver un autre hôtel à 20mn à pieds avec nos valises, et deux fois plus cher...
Bon, à part ça, on a eu une super journée de visite aujourd'hui, accompagnés par Joachim Jenni, un jeune de "chez nous" qui étudie pour une année à Hillsong. C'était sympa de le revoir. On est allés voir l'opéra, en ville (certains sont montés sur Tower Eye pour avoir une vue plongeante sur la ville). Avec les enfants, nous avons visité l'Australian Museum et vu des squelettes de dinosaures... Le soir, Joële et Noémie sont allés voir une comédie musicale à l'opéra.

We arrived yesterday night in Sydney, Australia, for one day and a half of discovery... It all started badly! When we arrived in the hotel we booked 6 month ago, they told us they could not accept us as we were a family with under 18s, and the law forbid them to host under 18s in a backpackers hotel... They helped us tofind another hotel 20mn by feet from their place, with all our luggage, and twice as expensive...
Anyway, aprt from that, we had a wonderful day of discovery, accompanied by our friend Joachim Jenni who is studying for one year with Hillsong. It was cool to see him again. We went to see the opera, then downtown (some even went on Tower Eye to see the city from above). With the kids, we went to the Australian Museum and saw some dinosaur skelettons... In the evening, Joële and Noémie went to the opera to watch a musical.
